If you get a Toyota...get one of the ones that the accelerator pedal sticks to the floor...then aim it at a Nissan

Yup! Two excellent commercials, and I'd be having a tough time making up my mind too. At least it appears your priorities are squared away!

Nissan does not re sell like the Toyota and Honda. The Subaru is probably a better car than any of the three but cost more. I have had several of all three and the Subaru held up to the mountain driving the best. They are indestructible. I have owned 4 Toyota's, 3 Honda's, 2 Nissan's and two Subarus and my personal ratings are 1) Subaru 2) Honda 3) toyota 4) Nissan. They were all good cars compared to the big three. I have also owned 2 Tundra's and many Ford pickups and the Ford is still my choice of trucks.

It appears to me that the Nissan must be rough riding.

Mercury builds a great car, and Ford is the last American car company. My present Grand Marquis will be traded on another Grand Marquis. Check out the trunk, it will carry more trap guns and ammo than you could possibly shoot in a weekend, and the interior has room for your old, fat trapshooting buddies, and it gets better than 20 mpg while carrying all of that.
