There are gonna be nine handicap winners shooting for the $100k, then they're going to draw a tenth name from the hat to make up two full squads in the $100k shootoff.

The tenth person must have shot in 4 handicap events to be eligible.

At least that's how I understood it.

    Mike,

I listened to it as well. He said, "there will be 9 qualifiers and then one random at the end that we're going to pull out of a hat".

So it should be as originally thought with 9 winners and 1 random. Seems to be everything is in place.

    Shoot well.

Since there are no rules governing the shoot off yet, I would bet there will be no shoot off contestant shooting from the 20 yard line. Jut my opinion of course.

ERTZ, put up your $100,000 next year and make up the rules the way you like em. Simple as that.

Click on the link above and read what Dr. Rively actually said. Then you we can see what will happen at the at the Grand and who is right and who is wrong.

BTW not that it actually matter. One of the statements that Dr. R, made has already been changed it would appear. He called it a shoot-off the ATA program is calling it a special event.

Wouldn't it be cool if a kid that won it and used it to pay his college tuition? Especially if he kept trapshooting...

If I win it, I'll spend at least half of it on booze and women, and just waste the rest.

Mike, how about the 27 yard winners having to shoot from their earned yardage also? Would only be fair, if one has to do it, so do the others.

Winners will shoot from the yardage they were on when they won the event. Just like any other shoot-off.

"Nope, Hipster; I disagree. The 27yd shooters have earned the right to shoot from the back fence, and in every event, all season long, they have to compete against short yardage shooters, some of 'em practicing "target management" even from the 18."

Well Mike the numbers don't back you up at major shoots(like the Grand)the 27 yd shooters win more than their fair share.

Well I am not sure if you have seen this thread or not but it doesn't read that way. Unless there was another one that was on here after this one that I missed.

So Bob, is what you are saying that the 27 yarder deserves special treatment? Not having to shoot from earned yardage? Hell, some of em have won enough honorary yards to reach from Chicago To Dallas and still stay in the same spot. That's fair to you?
