Been doin alot of 'soul searching' with regard to current events and can't help but wonder if the unfaiths are somehow responsible for many problems in our society.

We always hear about faith driven mentalities but what of the occult and negative faith or unfaith.

Is punishing everyone what drives these mass killings? Everyone and not just the guilty should be punished?

Is this the killer's motive that everyone must suffer along with he/she?

There are no consequences for those of the unfaith and no releases.

There is a goodly amount of truth in this idea. The moral fiber of the nation as a whole has deteriorated to the point where disrespect is the nature of things.

Disrespect for marriage started in the 50's. Disrespect for authority in the 60's and disrespect for newborns in the 70's. Arond then it became very popular to make life easier for teachers and parents by drugging children, most of whom were more in need of woodshed and chores.

As the country went along its downhill path movies and pop culture got lower and lower in the gutter.

The latest round of disrespect for life is shown in the violence of the latest video games, movies, and TV shows.

So as Monkey see, Monkey do proceeds forth "Brave New World" and "1984" will be the norm rather than imagination.

Maybe it will all be over tomorrow.

Yakiman, 'btw', I stand to be corrected thanks. When people are God fearing ie have religion and a soul the positive results are that they will for the great majority of times have a recourse back to God. If things go wrong, they pray and believe in a 'universal revenge'. God knows what is true.
Without faith in God's justice, or belief in God, they may go about it themselves, ie seek revenge. Possibly because the godless believe the masses or individuals don't feel their pain or know how they feel, they seek to punish the masses.
God fearing people believe they will be punished for wrong doing if not by the system then by God himself or both. Prayer is a release of bad feelings that is you tell God how you feel and receive consolation.

The godless have no fear of being punished by God and will not abide by the laws of the system. Prayer is not a release because they do not pray. They can get the system but the system can not get them which is possibly why they commit suicide.

391 No they are not, they are atheist it is part of they're doctrine. Does that sound like anyone we know. Several years back after columbine Reverend Billy Gram's Daughter was asked how could God allow all the terrible things to happen in our schools, court rooms, movies, TV etc.. And her answer was that you folks kicked him out! I believe there is a message in those words?

Rocketdog, this is about the 'faithless'. In communist countries they allow churches to exist but they are run on state run doctrine and all the $$$ go to the state. Catholic churches in communist countries are communist and not tied to Rome. Communists generally do not believe in God. So what makes them behave? Nothing....but law enforcement and minders. Minders are government people who watch other people and everything they say or do.

FWIW Jesus did not like organized religion very much, as when he kicked the money grubbers out of the temple.

Letting another human tell you what is right and wrong may not be the best answer. Figure it out yourself.

We have unrest driven by secularism, uncertainty, economic distress, copycat dullards, poorer mental health care and Christmas(which causes stress in some folks), to name a few issues. Here in Michigan, the entire Battle Creek school system is shut down from threats, as well as problems in a couple of other districts. This thing is a freakin mess! The s*** rolls down hill ramifications are going to be nearly as bad as the killings. I believe this is going to dwarf Columbine. One screwed up kid could wreck almost 30 famalies and close entire school systems hundreds and maybe thousands of miles away. Then will come the law suits and then the new legislation. Let's all pray no one else dies as a result of this.
