Funding husseincare by continuing the budget,,,,Boehner doesn't realize that he shows that the 'new' repubicans that were voted in last November with a huge majority are NO different from the ones that were voted out,,,,I guess we may now have the three party system that many have wanted,,,,which will put progressives back in charge,,,,I understand why peloisi said after the election that it was no big deal and they would be back in power soon,,,,,God save America....

Don't blame Ross Perot for the GOP defeats in 1992 and 1996.

In both cases there were a lot of people fed up with anti-gun RINOs like Daddy Bush and Bob Dolt. They lost the election all by themselves. Perot simply was a convenient container to collect that angst and frustration.

Democrats are more organized, single minded and effective, result: they are destroying America. We must take control of the Republican Party and become just as organized and focused, after all that we are still doomed for one reason. There are just too many people who live on the government teat, period.

Don't blame the "new" republicans; blame the leadership! I'll bet there will be a challenge to Boehner soon. Nice guy but he has been co-opted by having been in DC too long.

Why would you believe what any politician tells you on the campaign trail, what he/she will do once they get into office?

Honest politicians do what they promise after they get elected- Scott Walker is a good example of that and so is Kasich (sp?), Paul, Backman, and too many others to mention. This list does not include any Democrats (99's people) and likely never will.

I would take a boat load of Rubio's,Pence's.Ryan's,Paul's and Bachman's running the government. I have never seen any person get pissed because a politician did exactly what they camaigned they would do. If they do what they say they will how can anyone be pissed? There are some freshamn that are not letting the politics of years past detour their promises to us. And they need to be applauded.

To anyone aware of politics, Perot helped Democrats win. Simple concept: He SPLIT the non-democrat vote. Period.

Of course, some can live near the banks of that river in Egypt.....

Let's not forget there are 2 branches of Congress and the Republicans only control 1, for now.

Also, don't forget that the House voted, on Jan 7, 2011 to repeal Obamacare in HR 2 and HR 26. It passed 236 to 182. It is DOA in the Senate.

Let's not forget that the Dems never passed a budget for FY 2010-11, leaving it to the Republicans. So, the Republicans pass a budget bill for the remainder of FY 2011 that cut $60 billion (on an annualized basis that'd be $120 billion). What happened to that budget bill? The Senate Majority Leader will not put it to a vote.

So, the Republicans are whittling away at it through Continuing Resolutions (CRs). Yea, it's ugly, but tactically, for now, it's the only way to get it done.

Don't believe everything you hear from the media. Progress is being made.

Gene your points are very valid and the Libs are wanting a shutdown to make it appear as though the Repubs are to blame and i think that is where the tactical mistake is being made by the Repubs. Force the libs to vote up or down on these cr's and if they don't vote let it shut down as it will not effect much of government anyway. The American people that have half a brain are 100% behind this conservative fiscal responsible governemnt. They have nothing to fear but fear itself. Shut it down and defund the 105 billion in the socialized medicine bill. Who really cares if government becomes paralyzed. It will save us taxpayers billions upon billions every day they do nothing.

Maybe you know this but your post makes it unclear.

The "Libs" (aka Dema) do have to vote "up or down" on the CRs. If it passes the House, the CR is sent to the Senate, where it's voted on and then the Pres signs or vetos it - only IF it passes both the House and Senate.

Like I said before. Party trumps everything."</i>

Yes, indeed, it IS a lesson the Republicans never learn. Which is exactly why they should not put anti-gun RINOs on the ballot, because doing so will cause a split ballot.

Don't like it? Don't support anti-gun RINOs. Many of us will vote for a Libertarian or other third party candidate.

And don't admonish us about blindly voting for the good of the party. Many of us are Republicans simply because there is nothing better. So we're quite willing to vote third party if the Republicans offer up a turd sandwich and tell us we have to take a bite. Nope, sorry, YOU enjoy your sandwich. We're having something else on the menu.

Some of you guys are wierd-os

What do you not understand about 2 to 1 dems over repubs? Repubs cannot do shinola. The only thing Boehener can do is stuff a rag in Reid's (uh-you know what). Adn you guys that want to fight to the death will die in short order. 2012 to be exact and then you get the jerks for another 2 years. Let the pro's handle the politics.

Rick, I've stated the obvious. That if the GOP nominates a lame ass anti-gun RINO, don't act surprised when many do not support him.

Admonishing us to take one for the team doesn't cut it anymore. We've been told for decades how we have to vote for those who ban our guns because they're "better" than liberals who ban our guns. That's crap.

If Republicans don't like that message, then it's long past time to take it on face value and vote accordingly. Stop supporting idiot anti-gunners like Dole and McLame.
