Working people frequently ask retired people what they do to make their days interesting. Well, for example, the other day I went downtown and went into a shop. I was only in there for about 5 minutes and when I came out there was a cop writing out a parking ticket. I went up to him and said, "Come on, man, how about giving a retired person a break"? He ignored me and continued writing the ticket. I called him a "Nazi." He glared at me and started writing another ticket for having worn tires. So I called him a "doughnut eating Gestapo." He finished the second ticket and put it on the windshield with the first. Then he started writing a third ticket. This went on for about 20 minutes. The more I abused him, the more tickets he wrote. Personally, I didn't care. I came downtown on the bus and the car that he was putting the tickets on had a bumper sticker that said "Hillary in '08."
I try to have a little fun each day now that I'm retired. It's important to my health.

It's not easy being retired. No vacation days, no sick days, no personal days, no blood days, no terminal leave days off, it's hard to find time to get anything done when you're retired. HMB

Worst part of being retired is no weekends. They are just like the other five. Best part is having every day be a weekend if you want. bob finger

When people ask me what retirement is like, I say it's like being 10 years old and in the first week of summer vacation. Jim

I retired at an early age. Worried some about having enough to keep me busy.
I should not have worried after all. I get up in the morning with nothing to do and go to bed at night only half done.

Hey hipshot you really really do need to schedule that Optirectomy operation.

The purpose of this operation is to sever the cord that connects your eyes to your rectum and hopefully get rid of your shi**y outlook on life.

It's got to be tough being the smartest hammer in the box and everything you come in contact with is a nail. Lighten up and try to enjoy life for a change.

What Starship posted was posted on here once before several years ago but I don't recall if it was a Hillary bumper sticker or some other flaming lib.
