    When we were kids my brother and I used this method to catch stripped gophers...13 lined ground squirrels. We would put them in an old flat bottom grain trailer and then put a couple of our farm cats in. The cats got to really enjoy it and would come running when we would go next to the trailer.

    Out at Shemya (waaaayyy out at the end of hte Aluetian chain) we had blue arctic foxes.

    We used to tie a chicken bone on the end of a fishing rod and fish out the dormitory windows. Once you got one, you could reel him right off the ground. The highest I ever saw one get before he let go of the bone was up to the base of the second floor - about 12 feet off the ground.
