This is way too complicated. We used to just put sawdust in the tranny when we traded the lemon.

    Hit the "Enter" key twice.

    Every now and then.

Makes your rant easier to read.

Copper, I am retired from the automobile business in Pennsylvania. I suggest you speak with, not email, the dealer principle - not a service advisor or your salesperson or his manager. If you do not receive satisfactory treatment from him, report them to the PA Better Business Bureau and Bureau of Consomer Protection.

You said "Van come with 30 day engine trans warranty". That is not covering the drive train.

You said "carrier bearing issue". Carrier bearing would not be covered. If he were to cover it I think it would be considered his good will only, but not necessary as it was not covered.

You said cost to repair would be $200.00 plus couple hours to fix.

But you buy whole drive shaft from ebay with all bearing for $500.00. Then I guess labor to install.

If it were me I would not expect him to pay for anything.

Why not just replace the carrier bearing/s only for less dollars? Rays 2 cents worth.

Good luck. They sure as He!! are not going to give you $500. for a complete drive shaft when they could have fixed it for $200. with new parts. :)
