Automatic, default classification of shooters based on age or gender gets tanked, target speeds get tanked, increase in fees gets approved and Michigan gets a "satellite Grand". What is a Satellite Grand?

"Make changes in the entire section to allow for target speeds of singles targets of 40 to 43 mph and allow for target speeds of right doubles target of 37 to 40 mph when set from the back of the house for low power radar guns and from the 16 yard line by high power radar guns. This motion was defeated by a majority of the Directors on a voice Vote."

The most disturbing part of this may be why it was brought up in the first place? Thanks to the delegates that voted this down this time but is this the last of that idea or thought processes in that direction?

    Choose your delegates wisely folks.

I posted this earlier regarding the motion to change the target speed.

"1) why wasn't the discussion following the motion recorded, and 2) why wasn't the vote on the motion a roll call rather than a voice vote."

Does anyone know what the rationale was for the motion??

    To Hap or Jerry

What is the issue with target speed? Is this just a clarification of the current rule or is this a change? I am not trying to start a debate or stir the pot. I just do not understand the issue.

A "Satellite Grand" is just another nail into the coffin of small gun clubs.

Just-A-Shooter, the idea behind this maneuver was to reduce target speeds further than what the current rule calls for. Much in the same fashion as does the angle rule, nothing less than 34 degrees, anything greater is allowed so to speak? What a waste of print there huh?

Joe Potosky, it was defeated by a majority spells defeat for the proposal.

The thinking behind it and those thinking this was a terrific enough idea to be brought to a vote may be back again? Think of all the phone calls to the detractors (those voting against it) of this magnificent idea in the coming months and years? We members have absolutely no idea who was for and who was against this proposal except that it was defeated? Is that enough information to possible even thank the delegates that voted this proposal down, this time? I have thanked a few personally but the rest should be thanked also in my opinion. Sometimes a statement alone isn't enough information, it was defeated?

Why don't you ask your delegate? Isnt he the one that voted for it?
