We shot the Long Island 300 yesterday. At each of the three ranges the first squads shot their first rounds in the pouring rain. By the end of that round the rain was tapering off with only a few showers throughout the rest of the day. Everyone got a door prize ranging from Bob Allen range bags to gun cleaning kits The 50/50 raffle sent several shooters home with an extra $100. The Lewis Class put smiles on even more faces. The fllet mignon dinner was a great way to end the day. We got a chance to shoot with new friends and see some old ones. It looked like everyone had a great time. I'm already looking forward to next year's event! If you had a chance to shoot it and you didn't, you missed a great day of shooting.

For those of you not familiar with the range at Yaphank, someone must have been trying to save money when they repaved the trapfields at the county range at Yaphank. The result is that one foot tends to roll off the endge at stations one and five. It adds to the shooting adventure! And yes, Ray puts on a nice event!
