The less mpg the better gov

After viewing the video on European cars & learning that E-15 is about to be sprung on us. The truth of the matter is the less mpg our vehicles get the more $$$$ the gov't rakes in. If the road system was funded by another tax besides the fuel tax, we would get the same level of mileage as the cars & trucks that are available in Europe.

As I understand it, it takes over 1 gallon of fossil fuel to produce 1 gallon of ethanol. Depending on who you believe, it could be a substantial difference. Your car will burn ethanol at about twice the rate of gasoline, meaning your gas mileage will drop in direct relation to how much ethanol is added. Making ethanol drives the price of meats up as the cost of feed rises due to a diminished supply.

To be fair you must look at it as our illustrious leaders. The subjects, oh I mean citizens, must spend more money for fuel and food and every product which is transported, assisting in attempting to keep our bloated economy afloat. The government gets to collect more in taxes. Looks like the perfect plan, what’s the problem.

It's not just meat, it's all food products. The more ethanol, the more the cost of food. As a bonus, it reduces mileage, wastes oil, ruins older engines and is hell on small engines (lawnmowers, weed eaters, etc). Oh yea, it also can't be used for airplanes either.

Lets go back to whale oil lamps, horse and buggys and wood heat. We could even use the horse shit to fertilize our lawns..

Instead of using fossil fuels and its by products you guys start first to make a good example for the rest of us.

The "best" example would be to get the government OUT of our lives!!

Food in our Fuel, 56 blends of gas, no new refinery's in 35 years, DUH!!! do you not see where the problems stems from?????????

Less MPG(ethanol) = more fuel sold = more TAX collected, simple math!
