I'm surprised it's not on the news that he kept an "Arsenal" in his basement and that ATF was investigating.

It's a wonder the rice rocket didn't kill him first.

Anybody catch the flame thrower on the wall?

jerbear that is why we have to be members of the NRA or ant other pro gun organization. I feel that if I were there when that happened they would have pryed my guns from my cold dead hands.

I believe most if not all of the flame throwers were converted to chemical dispersers and got filled with CS powder used for riot control by my fellow MP's. You could gas a whole convoy with one of them, too much fun.

Looks like something that would have belonged to the late Bill Ruger.

I saw a picture of him years ago with a Browning 30 cal machine gun destroying an old auto.

When he got pi....ed off, which was frequently, this was his outlet to vent anger.

I remember seeing the famous interview that Michael Moore had with Charlton Heston in which Mr. Heston walked away. I remember a sloping entrance and a brick house. This house doesn't fit my memory of that. So, I doubt very much if this was his place.

This is the basement of Bruce Stern from Connecticut. I did a google search for "gun room under 1860's manor house" and all of the needed information came up. Links to other discussion boards about his life and collection along with his ties to the NRA. No truth to anything about Charlton Heston. Doesn't take much to verify these things, with the internet like it is. I think I read that the entire collection sold for almost $12,000,000. More than $4,000,000 more than the low estimate for the collection. One impressive collection, that's for sure.
