What debate??? where were the questions about guns, abortion and any other contraversial issues? This was such a softball lobbing joke!

Did anyone else notice that the "questioners" couldn't even read THEIR OWN QUESTIONS???? I mean "global economic crisis"; I use this in MY everyday vocabulary, don't you??? Well the media are getting their wish in getting their candidate elected.

Gee, with the entire melt down of the US (and world) economic system, Ford and GM at 50 year lows, the major banks failing, the major insurance companies failing, etc., I can't imagine why they didn't concentrate on abortions and guns. What in hell is wrong with them? Don't they know what is important?!

Disgusting! They were just trying to protect that damn muslin.

That was no debate. It was supposed to be a "town hall setting" but when the "show" was to begin we were informed that Tom Brokaw(only him) went through every question submitted and picked out ONLY those that he thought were pertinent or to his liking. The media seems to cater to that "wolf in sheep's clothing" every single time. The far left has grown in the past 25 to 30 years as the "ACLU Generations" grew up and anyone who can't see or understand that must be either blind, illiterate and totally afraid that they might have to fight to defend the freedoms they now enjoy, given to them at the oost of many lives. Let 'em live in another country for awhile where there freedoms do not exist, maybe THAT would open their uninformed minds. Freedom is NOT free; it comes with a very high price but it seems very few of us remain who truly understand what our country NEEDS. Obama cannot be trusted whatsoever no matter how articulate he might seem. We cannot afford to take a chance of this magnitude at this time when our entire system is in dire jeopardy.

I agree guys but what do you expect. In the minds and hearts of Anericans right now is $$$$$$$. To most of them thats all thats important right now. The reason is they live day to day and have saved little so they are worried they cannot get through this and they won't. The rest of us may make it through it but may have to start over.

    jakee,

I would have just like to have seen 1 or 2 questions on the way the candidates differ. Just so you know, the president can't do SQUAT on the economy. What he can do is give hope and confidence in our country and its economic way of life. But hussein is doing that....right. How many times did he say, "we're in the worst economy since the Great Depression"? Really giving confidence in America, isn't he.

We are very far from the Great Depression. Unemployment is not at 25%+, interest rates are not double digits, there are not stock certificates without actual companies behind them, etc. He keeps talking like he is and if the lemmings keep following, we WILL make his words come true. People can only hear crap for so long before they start believing it.

If he really wants to be a leader, then lead and stop lying!!

    Guys,

Why is it that we just don't get it? All of our McCain loyalists keep talking about bringing up issues like Second Ammendement rights and abortion. This election as bad as we hate it is about the economy and the war. Plain and simple, McCain is paying the price for the past 8 years. We keep pointing fingers and saying: "They did this and they did that!" meaning the Democrats are responsible for a war they did not start or support and an economy gone bad. The people don't want to hear that Obama is a bad guy, they want John McCain to tell them what is he going to do to fix things and like daddy bush did back against Clinton all McCain and Palin can do is point fingers and tell them how bad a guy Obama is.

Our side needs to distance itself from the current administration and start lying like the other side is. The truth DOES NOT MATTER to people who are suffering from high gas prices and the failure of the economy. Sad but true....

    leadvail,

He has oversight, but not final control on regulations. Most, not all, of that will come down to congress, i.e. Fan/Fred. congress stopped oversight of these.

In the free enterprise system, the less it is tinkered with, the better it works. You will see my point if hussein gets elected. He will tinker with it and it WILL TANK. I love the audacity of some of these people, socialism hasn't worked.....because WE haven't done it. :(
