Because of the hurricane, this hasn't been getting any press. Several big name bloggers are pushing the message out and asking everyone to call their state GOP to stop this.

Here is some of what is transpiring...(The whole story can be found on Michelle Malkin's site...click the link above and look for "Floor Fight"

This past Friday, the RNC’s Convention Rules Committee voted – after several contentous votes – to change the party’s rules to allow future presidential candidates to have veto power over who can be delegates from any state – in other words, take power away from the grassroots and their ability to elect fellow conservatives as delegates.

This represents a brazen move by several Washington Beltway consultants and party insiders to diminish the power and influence of conservatives over the party.

Mark Levin (radio host), had this to say, "Conservatives of all stripes, especially Tea Party activists, this is an attempt to destroy your ability to influence the presidential and vice presidential nomination process in the Republican Party. It is an attempt to eviscerate the input of state parties. It is a brazen assault on the grassroots. And it is sleazy to the core.

If I didn't know better, I'd think Obama was behind it. Instead, Romney's operatives are orchestrating it".

Rush, on his radio show today said this is to bury the Tea Party and conservatives for good.

Iowa's delegates voted for Ron Paul. Needless to say I'd bet they were some of the ones who booed.

"Future Presidential candidates will have veto power over who becomes a delegate." If you think that's scandalous, let me tell you something that will really get you mad! Listen real close: by the time there _is_ a "candidate"...the game is already over!

How was this dastardly deed accomplished right under our noses?

Through this secret technique they invented, called a "Primary." Once it's over...the Average Man no longer has a say in the process! Doesn't that make you mad?

Some have (wrongfully) claimed that the GOP big shots pick our nominee for us.

But if this comes to pass, their claims will no longer be false. Because that is EXACTLY what this is going to allow.

The GOP is not only shifting further left, they are trying their hardest to prevent a rightward correction.

It's a disgusting power ploy, and it's disgusting that the two-party system choices are Democrat and Democrat-Lite.

    Where is the conservative party?
