the gold lettering is coming off my tmx

    Use on it?? Nothing! It is just part of the process of the gun being used.

    It's a gold inlay. You can try and tap it back in, but having an engraver fix it up, would probably be the better route.

    Bill Mains does a fine job repairing this....he dovetails it in so it can't come out....I'd say wait until your gun needs a reblue job, then send it to Bill and then to reblue.

    There is a kit that you can buy to redo the gold, I think Cabela's sells them ... I used to do every gun I had until I got tired of playing with it ... The kits are not very expensive and if you follow the directions you can't screw up ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

    Brownells sells that kit also. Bulge.

    Brownell's does handle those kits. They are called Bonanza Gold Inlay kits.
    They really work & it lasts a very long time--very long! Colonel
