Truly scary and sad at the same time. We do know that the teenage brain (and on into the twenties) is not fully developed in the area related to self control. It is imperative that we are very watchful when any mood altering drug is prescribed. Some of these drugs can be helpful to many people and have been when properly prescribed but in most cases, they are not really appropriate for use by youth without constant monitoring.

It will be very interesting to see what the eventual info is on the Sandy Hook killings as it pertains to medications in use at the time or even the possibillity of a withdrawal reaction. Be very careful when trying to stop using drugs like prozac since it is as hard to withdraw from as many hard narcotics.
I am really interested to see the Federal reaction to Wisconsins new anti-ban gunlaw but Im not sure if it will help against Holders new handgun registration law supposedly to be applied to the whole country. Guessonly time will tell.....BUD

I am not a conspiracy theorist but I was thinking, while reading the above posts, that maybe the huge ammo buy up by gov't may suggest they knew they were going to try something if Obama was re-elected. I do not think any events were staged but I do believe they had their ducks in a row on gun control.

I hope that is not the case.

    Just a thought.

Question why does DHS need 2,600,000,000 rounds of ammo who are they planning on using it on ,that much ammo think about it they would have to shoot 275,000 rounds everyday 365 days a year for 28 years and still have ammo left over ...

The elections of 2014 will be the key to most of this. If the Republicans lose control of the house you will see all hell break loose because Obama will then take us on a fast trip to socialism. Gun control will come and when we revolt Marshal Law will be imposed. That what all the DHS ammo is for along with the armored vehicles. When marshal law is in effect the 2016 elections will be on hold until please is restored.

    Buy guns and buy ammo.

Probably not Steve - they already ran out of our money but that's not a problem when you can just print more as needed to give to the lenders who will gladly advance even more money.

I think buying guns amd ammo is reasonable, but unity and organization is the most critical step to being prepared for what seems to be comming. We can yell and scream about things but unity among those who really believe in the constitution is what is needed. JMHO.

StlFlyn, Just the fact that we are concerned and talking about it as a possibility is a sign we don't trust this President or the current government.

It is not a small contingent of concerned citizens. I bet I get 5-6 emails a day about this, and the unknown/undisclosed costs of the Obamacare bill

When have the American people had more distrust?

Gentlemen - we are mostly among friends but pause a moment.

If all hell breaks loose nobody is in a real good position if you are identified as a possible terrorist. The NSA and FBI has the authority to 'mine' the internet. TXt is toughest, internet is easiest to do key word searches.

Guerilla warfare in Iraq was extremely tough to break down because the Mujhadeen were constantly on the move with no ties to hearth and home. Every one of us on this or any forum is easy to find and tag. That registration list is easier for Feds to tap than any gun registration data base which will NEVER be populated with accurate info.

Observation - hold your thoughts and public expression of resistance against what is going on and reflect on how you can organize puplic support for your ideas withOut 'going public'

As the kids today say "just Sayin'.

    Regards,

50 years from now, they will be saying how stupid society was to allow the types of drugs we give people. IMHO they do as much damage as they cure.

Hell, i am afraid of taking the hard on pills as I may die of a 4 hour hard on.

But seriously, I go all the way back to Kurt Cobain. Depressed guy is prescribed Anti depressants/bipolar meds (Lithium like one of his song, I think) and other shit then goes out and blows his brain out with a shotgun because a major side effect of the anti-depressants are suicidal thoughts (my feelings since I saw he killed himself (1994)).

The FDA approves that shit and no one in Congress or the states or the stupid mayors that bitch about the guns, none of them say anything about banning that crap.

No one bans the drugs that make the depressed, bi polar, etc... turn into zombies and disconnect with reality to where they harms themselves and others.

Below are some other way people die violently and none of them are banned.

    Cars, Motorcycles, airplanes, etc...

Just ban the guns. Not like the kid from Sandy hook AND HIS MOM were off their rocker. No they won't ban the video games that turn the kids into fat, unhealthy, out of shape zombies.

Yep.... GB and Australia banned the guns and their gun murders when down, well no shit. BUT... what those douche bags don't tell Joe Average american citizen is their overall violent crime went up at at staggering rate. why... the criminals are no longer afraid to break into houses, rape women, etc.... I was at the gym today watching CNN while running and Australia's former PM was on there hitting softballs out of the park given to him by the CNN host about Gun Crimes and gun Murders. He went on to say that they spent 500M buying back all the rifles and shotguns and confiscated 650k of them and the gun crime went down. But... #1 it didn't go down even with confiscation. In fact one of the provinces gun crime went up 300% and overall Australia's violent crime has gone up since the guns were confiscated.

Last thing, did you know murder by "hands and feet" is 5 times higher than rifles in the USA.

No one bans hands and feet either!!!!

It amazes me how few Americans know that simple and VERY profound fact about our nation's first organized armed resistance to British tyranny. Having family in Boston...I visit the area often. Over the years, I've spent a lot of time out in the Lexington/Concord area. To stand at the granite marker placed where those men stood, waiting for 700 British troops...the most powerful army in the world, to march into their town and confiscate their weapons is an incredibly moving experience.
On the morning of April 19, 1775 Capt. Parker took his Lexington militia out onto the Green and formed line as the British army marched into town. The gunfire at Lexington...as significant as it was, may have occurred through mis-calculation, confusion, and a loss of oversight by British officers. The British force split as they came to the green...part of them going around a church building on the edge of the green, about where the Patriot statue stands today, which put them not only closer to the line of Patriots..but also out of physical sight and contact from the officers who had stayed on the Concord road and ridden around the other side of the church. Taunts, and anger appear to have led to gunfire.
It was at the Concord Bridge later in the morning where the assembled militia forces who had rallied to the area after the various riders(Paul Revere was only one rider that night...there were several) spread the alarm where AMERICANS stood their ground and purposely told the massed British forces at Concord Bridge...
NO...not just "no" but HELL NO. Here and no farther.
In the cold reality of the 21st century (for the record:I've seen combat on three continents)...I sometimes wonder if I would have that courage. I pray I never have to find out.

    Stifilin,

You have out stupid-ed yourself this time. "Same reason confiscation won't happen this time either".

I guess you must have missed that little part of our history.

Why don't you just step up and put your money where your mouth is. Send your African savior your name and address, along with a list of your guns and serial #'s.

That may be the one way you can actually contribute to the cause. We can all watch their tactics in real time.

    Dope
