The engraving was done by Paula Biesen of Al and Roger Biesen riflebuilder fame in Spokane, WA. She is third generation in the gun shop and specializes in engraving the custom rifles (and shotguns, too). Their website is: www.biesen.com.

She has reasonable prices and rather quick turn around times depending on the complexity of the piece.

The combination of blue and white steel is just stunning. And you have just the right amount of gold to make it beautiful and not gawdy. Excellent piece!

Heck, I was a bank officer for 33 years and could not afford something like that. I now see the benefits of a union.

    Very pretty gun.

Union benefits - not really. Sold nearly every firearm I had - shotguns, rifles, pistols plus saved for about three years AND made payments to the engraver while working minimum two jobs, sometimes three. Not to mention no other "toys" like motorcycles, ATV's, four wheelers, etc.

Plan and save is what it takes.

The engraver hired a professional photographer for the pictures to showcase her work. Definately was not cheap but the pics are outstanding quality.

    Hey Rebel Sympathy

Banker, try being a NYFD Fireman, they deserve everything they get. Even way before 9/11. Union or no union.
    They don't get paid enough.

Eric, you certainly showed that Fireman resolve..... And what a beautiful Trap gun, you certainly deserve it.

A very good friend of mine once said "we eventually get all the toys we want, it is just a matter of time and priorities." He told me that when I was 18 and that is some of the best advice I have ever heard. That same friend told me to "talk to your wife and listen to what she says." Pretty smart guy.

I said it before, this is a gorgeous gun. It is a hard theme to capture appropriately without seeming gawdy and disrespectful. Didn't Paula engrave a Purdey for George Bush Sr too? I have that double gun journal around here somewhere. It had the CIA and the Presidential seal. Beautiful work.
