Ive been shooting ATA since 02/07. I now understand the lewis class, and been playing them. Now im shooting better and have shot a few 25s. I did play the 25 option Sunday. What I dont understand is how they pay? How do you make money on this option? Also does this apply to the 50s and 100s. I did not stay until the end of the event so i do not know the out come. I think I may have won my yardage group. There where not alot of 25s shot at the point I left?

if the 25 option pays 60/40 then a 25 straight will pay, along with a 24/25. If a 25 option pays 100% then a 25 only will pay. If the high score for that trap was a 24, then the 24 will get 60% of the pay and the 23's will get 40% of the payout. It only applies to the 4 traps shot that make up the 100 event. You could shoot a 25 one trap and follow it up with a 14, it doesn't matter, the 25 will pay. You are shooting against everyone who played the 25 option (not just your yardage group)

How much would a 25 pay. the flyer stated 25 option 20.00 5.00 each 25? I shot 1-25 on the first trap.

Your "flyer" info is saying: You pay $20 for the 25 options, $5 of which goes into a pot for each field shot. And it probably went on to say "split 60/40%...." This means that all the folks that broke a 25 on any of the fields in that event would split the 60% of the pot for that first, second, third or fourth field and all the 24s would split the 40% of the pot. Let's say 30 people paid into this option in a given event - that would put $750 into the 25 options. Then 60% of that would go to 25s or $450 but it's also split into equal amounts for each field, so 450/4=$112.50 goes into a pot for each field for 25s and $75 would be held for each field's 24s. So, lets say 10 people shoot a 25 in one field - they would get 112.5/10=$11.25 and so on. How much do you get? By the time the individual pot is split 60/40% and then further split with all the 25s and 24, it generally isn't going to settle your corvette payment for the month. PS, I didn't check my very quick math so if I'm a little off here and there, tough beans....breakemall....Bob Dodd

At the Iowa State Shoot the 25 options was paid 'one money' which means that only the top score(s) that played the option got paid. Theoretically that could be a 23 but it was a 25. 24's were not paid. Most shoots do pay 60%/40% as has been described above.

At Wisconsin's shoot the 50's option which paid 50%/30%/20% one day paid 49's, 48's and 47's.

I think what i was missing? When or where the 25s paid. What the 60/40 split was about. Also how they figured pay. What I now understand. I shot 25 24 23 22. I know I have a 25 pay out. So if 10 people played and only 3 25s on first trap we split the 60%. On trap 2 pay for 24 split the 40 between all 24s on that trap? My first time playing the 25option, knowing I have money coming is good. I also have a 1 yard punch recieved in the mail. Thinking I won my yardage class also. Is there a ATA web site that tells how all the options work?

I do not enter anything I do not understand at all. I have been shooting well past few weeks so I felt I could shoot a few 25s. Just didnt know how the payout was figured.
