You are correct, it was a great shoot. Thanks to all of the members of the Kingsburg Gun Club and the Directors of the CGSTA for making this one of the best shoots I attend. I look forward to attending next year.
I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to everyone involved. It was my first year attending the State Shoot as well as my first visit to the Kingsburg Gun Club. Despite the heat, we had a terrific time and met some truly wonderful people. We cannot wait to return next year.
I noticed scores were really low this year. Any thoughts on why?
Very few 100's shot.
I could not make it this year due to health. Norm Valponi went down for a
few days.

I think this was my 30th Kingsburg State Shoot. What an excellent venue! As always the club members came thru for us! Thank you to all of them for busting their butts in the high temps to make our play time as good as it gets! Hopefully the California State Shoot will continue to be held at this fantastic facility.
All the above is right on. My wife and I had a great time thanks to all the hard work done by the club members and the association members. They came together and produced a great shoot. I came home with three trophies, thanks to my wife playing bingo for three days. Larry Marvier
It was a great week. I am already looking forward to next year! The club and the CGSTA did an incredible job putting on the shoot.
As for the scores, it is really hard to determine how much the worst heat wave in 10 years impacted them. I measured temps over 112 in the shade from Thursday on.
I also enjoyed the State shoot--lots of really nice people--enjoyed sitting with Fred and Big Joe--and I won the NRA life time member prize in the Hall of Fame raffle--I will be back next year---Thanks All
I echo all said above it was HOT but we had a great time as well, the club does a great job! The Food is always great and convienent! Thanks to the CGSTA as well for all you guys do......
On another note I heard a rumor that if there is the shoot there next that the camping fee's are going to double I hope that is not true if that is the case I know for me Ill be finding somehwere close with hookups and I noticed they did not let you register and pay for next years camping, just hoping that is not a sign of what is to come!
BTD,
Usually the s#it stirrers that start rumors. Who did you hear the rumors from?
Everyone, KGC and CGSTA did a great job this year. Really proud of the trap help. Us shooters were out shooting maybe 2 hours each day, they were there at least 8 hours on Friday and Saturday and we only had 3 that couldn't make it.
RWT it was the guys camping next to us. So who knows where that started that why I preficed it but saying it was a "rumor" hope thats all it is.... Once again great week we all had.
I'm happy to hear a good time was had by all - and unhappy that we could not be there. The CA St Sh was one of our favorite shoots/venues....ALWAYS had a great time. Larry, I see Mary hadn't lost her touch with Bingo...she ALWAYS wins.
JHunts, The people that had reservations this year will have the same spots next year if they want them, we just did not collect any reservation fees for next year.
