I was very impressed with Tech's performance in this football game. I hadn't watched them before tonight. And boy, can that quarterback scramble! He's the kind of guy who can run back and forth seemingly forever, then find an open man, and hit him right in the numbers. Those kind of quarterbacks are dangerous...the kind who can win a game on the last play.

According to their schedule, they were 7-0, but really hadn't beaten anybody...until tonight. I watched Texas unseat another #1 team not long ago...tonight, they got as good as they gave.

While I could care less about football (played it way too long in my younger years), I did catch the last quarter of it when I got in from shooting. It was a fine game and now I'll have to catch a rerun to see the whole game. It was a dandy!

Guns up at Texas Tech. I still cling to the old Southwest Conference. Few on this site will recognize "Guns Up", why seats are not used by A&M students or even how to call the Hogs.

The Big 12 South has 4 teams in the top ten. It's a monster.

IMHO, the strength of the remaining schedule favors:

    1) Alabama has LSU, Miss. St, & Auburn. They should go undefeated.
    2) Penn St. has Iowa, Indiana & Mich. St. They should go undefeated.
    3) Texas Tech ONLY has Okla St.(Ouch!), Okla. (Ouch!) & Baylor

If Tech gets by OSU & OU they s/b #1

Whatever, there are gonna be some great bowl games.

I didn't think anyone in the south of the Big 12 would go undefeated this season. There are 4 teams all good enough to beat each other on a good day. Texas had to play them back to back and didn't make it. Now it is Texas Techs turn. If they are lucky enough to beat OSU this weekend I don't see how they will have enough left to beat OU in Norman. I don't see Alabama beating LSU and Auburn and then beating Florida in the Southeast championship game. Penn State has the easiest road of the unbeatens.
