Squadded with Arnold many times, last being at East-
West shoot at Ben Wheeler. The highlight of any shoot
was association with Arnold. Great individual and true
    gentleman. Will miss him.

I had heard of Mr. Nix for many years from my Dad, who thought alot of him. I finally had the pleasure of meeting and visiting with him at the East-West shoot. As Doyle Duncan said a true gentleman. Prayers for his family and friends in this sad time.

Arnold was a joy to shoot with, always had something up his sleeve to gig Terry Brogdon with. My favorite was when we were shooting in San Antone 2 or 3 yrs ago.

We were the 1st squad out in the championship doubles and while we watched the trapsetters at work Terry got up and walked down to the line and managed to cajole the setters into setting them just to suit him on the traps we were shooting on.

Arnold noticed him and asked what he was doing, I told him and he said just wait till we go to the line.

When Pete asked to see a pair Arnold threw a fit, " who set those damned targets they are the worst set doubles I've ever seen" in a loud voice.

I looked at Terry and he was getting red faced I then looked at Arnold and neither of us could hold it and we both busted out laughing.

Terry missed more doubles than I can ever remember.

Yes, we will all miss Arnold Nix great squadmate, friend and damned good shot to boot!

I have enjoyed shooting with Arnold at clubs across Texas the last 15 years. Those of us that have known him will miss his booming voice and always present smile. A more honest man you will never meet. I know that shooting in San Antonio will never be the same for me.

God be with his family during this time.

I enjoyed the doubles-setting story. Another good one gone. We are sorry for the loss of your friend.
