    Terrorist

A month ago Abdulmutallab's own father warned the U.S. embassy that his son was involved with al-Qaida and intended to do harm to us. And yet our Federal government didn't bother to revoke his visa. Four weeks later the son gets on a plane bound for the U.S. and tries to bring it down and kill hundreds of passengers on Christmas. He, like Bin Ladin, has an engineering background and he strategically chose a seat above the fuel tanks and wing, right next to the fusalage.

It's been eight years and hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars since 9/11, and our bloated Federal government is still so grossly incompetent that they don't revoke a known kook's visa with a 1-month advance notice from his father. Imagine that.

What if one of your loved ones was killed on that flight and you learned of this?

This is either an incompetent individual operator or a government plant. If a pro wanted this plane down it would be down.

What makes you experts so sure no one was watching him? What makes y'all so sure the situation did not play out exactly as planned..

The gov. needs to gain intel and also show a need to do so. This is all a big game....a very high stakes game. Billions of dollars up for grab.

If his plot was known it was a bit reckless to let him board the plane. They could have arrested him in the waiting area with the bomb and got the same result.

I heard the flight he was on left an African country then to Amsterdam and the terrorist did not get off the plane so he was not checked out. The country he left from does not have as strict rules as most other countries as the USA. I hav eto do more checking to verify this.

Fathawk: The guy had a visa from the U.S. government, allowing him to legally travel here, a month after his father warned our embassy. If someone you loved died under these identical circumstances, I assure you that, yes -- you would think it was the government's fault.

221: Let's assume that your theory is right -- everything "played out exactly as planned" by our brilliant government. That means the U.S. government intentionally left his visa intact and let him come to the U.S aboard a plane full of about 280 innocent passengers with an explosive or incendiary device on him. Then they let him spend 20 minutes in the bathroom getting ready, and then they let him ignite his device and start a fire aboard a commercial flight. Does that sound logical to you? If so, how is that any better than stopping him before he had a chance to harm anyone? How did they "gain intel" from letting him trigger the device? Even if your theory begins correctly and the gov't was onto him, they clearly botched the job when the guy was able to trigger it. Your theory is nonsense, and it doesn't take an "expert" to see that.

Our government is brilliant.....they can squander billions while making all their friends billionaires all in the ruse of fighting terrorism.

The sad part of all this is you smart guys are taking it hook line and sinker.

More women and children die from hunger and the flu than are being lost in this terror fiasco.

Keep in mind that a solder on your side is a hero......put him on the other side and he becomes a Terrorist.

The problem was that Abdulmutallab did not get the memo from Osama requesting no new attacks because it might upset the work of his man in the Oval office.

Why is it after every " terrorist event" is comes out in the press "oh yeah, we've had him on our watch list for quite a while now"?

    1. Ft Hood suspect....watching him for over a year now and intercepted emails to his imam.

    2. Delta airline terrorist....his father warned us a month ago. Also on terrorist watch list.

    3. 911 hijackers....4 of them on a terrorist watch list for months.

This politican correctness crap is killing us one incident at a time.

Profiling? Better wake up and start homing in on the "sand turds" that continue to openly threaten us every day.

As far as I'm concerned the next incident that occurs and it's determined they were on a "watch list", whoever was in charge of said list needs to be prosecuted along with the terrorist for not sounding the alarm to nab the idiot.

    Accountability must be dead.

PS 221, the "you smart guys took it hook, line and sinker" comment sure makes you look a ton smarter than the rest of us. Are you by chance one of Obama's czars?

This guy had red flags all over.

    Paid cash for his ticket.

    Bought a one way ticket.

    No luggage.

    No carry on.

On the British no fly list.

His father, a retired CEO high profile banker reported him to the US Consulate.

    On the US watch list.

Still managed to get a US student travel visa with unlimited stay.

This is Obama's watch boys, W must be down in Crawford, Tx lovin' it.
