Depends on your situation,,,,,,,do you smoke or have high cholesterol, hypertension, etc. What state are you in? Not all companies write in all states. there are several term quoting companies that can be found online, such as Quotesmith.

Term Life rate should be much lower, only 3% made the ultimate clam.

Got a term policy and a disability income policy almost 30 years ago both with the Guaranteed Insurability Option. Glad I did, both look/feel cheap now. Kind of wish I did the long term health too.

    JON O,

If there is no evidence, why don't you just take some baby aspirin each day. Will accomplish the same (I'm sure you know this), but the insurance shouldn't balk so much. The cat is out of the bag now though for Zander.

You may want to check rates with the NRA or ARP

You may want to try West Coast Life through one of their agents. They wrote term life for me with several risk factors present. You may be able to get 10 years at a reasonable rate, but the rate skyrockets after that. I dropped once I no longer had a need to leave protection to a business partner or a family member.

I would suggest seeing your local agent, car, house, whatever for best prices and just as importantly, service and knowledge. If youre like me beyond the age of fair pricingaccept it. Buy your grand kids a Large policy for each of them from someone like Gerber or Globe that prepays the premium until they reach 21(?) and they can adjust according to their budget. Obviously other things can interfere along the way-that's life.
