There's a guy ob the radio Earl Pitts, he is usually real funny, today he was talking about how the poor spend the most on lotto tickets, then he said he had a plan

Give the poor lotto stamps when they get their food stamps then when they win, pay them with money borrowed from China, then tax them, then the taxpayers get a relief, the poor get rich, the gummit gets more money, and the Chinese just will have to wait for their money.

When he was done he said damn I hope no politician is listening, I probably just gave them an idea

It will end up being the next thing, free lotto tickets for the poor, excuse me under served damn I hate this PC BS

The federal women, infants, and children (WIC) nutrition program (for pregnant women and little ones) is what every federal assistance program SHOULD be. Recipients recieve food instruments good for specific food products. Examples include infant formula, commodity milk, whole grain bread or cereal, beans, etc.

Labels on certain shelves at your local supermarket say "WIC approved" to identify stuff that's covered. What you won't find is a WIC approved label for Twinkies, beer, potato chips, frozen pizza and similar sh!t.

There's a black market exchange for everything but it's tough to trade infant formula and red beans for for malt liquor, cigarettes, and lotto tickets.

The problem is that individuals that won't make a good faith effort to support themselves and their progeny are more than happy to spend taxpayer provided government money on lotto tickets, casino games, and other counter productive crap. Isn't it interesting when low income parents that can't afford a basic PC for their kids education but always manage to find a way to get cable or dish tv?

Eliminate the cash and we eliminate many of the opportunities to abuse assistance programs.

Dear President Obama, I think your right about Fair Share. I buy a marriage license, hunting, fishing, dog and drivers license. So lets put a vote before congress which you sponsor to propose a candidates license from localities right up to and including federal candidates. Of course the higher the office..the higher the fee to run. Now of course this won't get us completely out of the debt you've run up since taking office..but it is a start. Then you could tack on an ammendment to license political speaking engagements. Just think of the money we could raise to wipe out the debt! sincerely ed nichols

The function of the lottery is a way of getting money from the poor - it functions as a tax of sorts. But as mentioned about the source of that money is often handouts that comes from legitimate taxpayers. Kind of a bizzare trickle up effect.

Sissy it was just a joke, but given the atmosphere in Washington if they thought it would get them re-elected they would give away lotto stamps with the food stamps
