Waterhouse is right!! 100 years ago this country was still a free country inhabited by self reliant individuals.

Today, just the opposite. 100 years ago bums and hucksters were ran out of town on a rail, now they are given an office, staff, expense account, and a guaranteed pension.

Today's bums wear suits and show up at your county commssioners meeting and panhadle for grant money to do studies that nobody every reads. They are so much more aesthetically appealing and pretentious than the panhandlers of yesteryear. Therefore no one should even slightly object to paying taxes because it is so worth it.

    Yeah right!

When a society pays a person for merely being instead of doing, that society is unerringly preparing for its own demise. unknown author

    Iowa man!!
It doesn't look like its going to change anytime soon either. Obama has promised to repeal the Bush tax cuts which will effectivly raise all but the lowest income people. He also promised to take "windfall profits " from "big" companies and help out the middle class. Also do away with the capitol gains advantage so people will quit investing. Kinds like making everyone dependant of governmant. Oh well, I guess thats what socialism is all about.
