Here is our Florida tax dollars at work. At least all you people that drive down here will now know who our Govenor is when you enter the state.

"Florida Gov. Rick Scott asked for his name on every Welcome to Florida sign at every state entrance. Tallahassee is supposed to be cutting every unneeded dime under the leadership of the governor. But just as some drivers have vanity license plates, some critics say the governor's own vanity got the best of him when he spent nearly $9,000 in tax payer money to put his name on every Welcome to Florida sign in the state.

"The governor has said the signs are his way of attracting people to Florida and promoting the state."

$9000? In Florida, that's enough money to shoot 900 rounds of trap!

The Illinois govenor doesn't do that. You can see his name and his picture on Americas Most Wanted. Plus most of them lately don't even serve a full term.

He is the first Florida to do it in memory and with the high unemployment we have it could have been spent more prudently. If we have extra money to put his name on signs I pretty sure it could have been better spent somewhere else.

You got a point, at least we do not have to have FOID cards to buy ammo here.

I am a Florida Cracker, born and raised in Florida.

To me it is no big deal about his name on the signs, but, then again I like Rick Scott.

This is a pentance compared to when he took office and all the stationary and photos in every state agency had to be replaced.
