1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

In my continuing effort to find excellent examples of Winchester SX-1's, I am offering for your consideration, an extremely nice Skeet SX-1. It has the proper 26 inch barrel (with rib screw), the skeet roll stamp on barrel, a very nice forend and buttstock, unaltered with Winchester butt plate. The gun has a 44xxx range serial number, and a stage 1 trigger. I have personally gone through this gun, checking the bolt buffer, recoil spring, and gas system parts. This gun is ready to go shooting! If skeet isn't your game, I can put a 30 inch trap full barrel on the gun in place of the skeet barrel, which would make a nice sporting gun.

SALE PRICE - $700.00 - (FIRM) DELIVERED TO YOUR LICENSED DEALER.

Please contact me through my personal e-mail address: stevefischer2@bellsouth.net as check it more often than the pm's on this site.

Very nice gun indeed; only that looks like a field buttstock according to checkering pattern.

Still looking for a new home. SX-1 skeet guns are scarce, and they also make real nice sporting guns with a bit tighter choked barrel. I could add a 30 inch field full barrel that is near new for an additional $225.00.

Besides having a barrel marked "skeet choke" , a skeet gun, like the trap version has the rolled engraving on the sides of the receiver, a wider "beavertail" type forend and generally (but not always) a better grade of wood. The stock dimensions are lower than a trap stock, usually around 1 1/2 X 2 1/2 inches at the comb. SX-1's without any engraving on the receiver are field guns.
The internal parts on both the field and trap or skeet grade guns a the same, and readily interchange. Values are a bit higher for the scarcer trap and especially the skeet guns.

The checkering pattern is different on a field gun and a skeet gun? Is the poster right or wrong? Seems like he has one supporter.

This gun has a Field stock on it. Steve Please let the people know that. This gun is not a true akeet gun. Price is still good. But come on please let the people know they look up to you as a SX1 Experte.
