Say a prayer for the citizens of Illinois this evening.

    Chicago Tribune:

Gov. Pat Quinn today called for a 33 percent increase in the state income tax rate to raise money for education and ease deep cuts he's proposed in his new budget plan.

In his short budget speech to the House and Senate, Quinn argued that an income tax "surcharge" would be enough to restore Illinois' education budget to current levels and allow the state to get caught up on some of the millions owed to public schools, community colleges and four-year universities.

Quinn wants to increase the personal income tax rate from 3 percent to 4 percent --- a 33 percent increase --- with the corporate tax rate rising from 4.8 percent to 5.8 percent. The tax hike would bring in $2.8 billion a year.

All the news, all the time ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

I recieved this in an E Mail from a friend ...

All to replenish the Teachers Unions Pension Funds that are going bankrupt!!! The teachers unions are DESTROYING our Educational system her in IL....When a teacher pays $68,000 into a pension fund during their career tenure and then draw over 1.2 million over the live of the payout when they retire there is something wrong with they system!

In addition teachers really can't get fired and there is no performance reviews to speak of....So what do you get? Over paid under performing individuals that are teaching our kids!!!! Il is a prime example of what kind of quality you get when you operate under these parameters....Teachers Unions should be eradicated all together!!!!!

    WHAT AN F-N Joke!!!!

For the first time in history we may have a piece of legslation/tax that is rescinded by our government by the time we get through with them in the '10 and '12 elections.

These progressive communists bastards from both parties realize if they support this bill, their chance of reelection this November or next are slim.

Any company that makes a profit be damned, but the government higher education system is constantly increasing the tuition rates for the "Fat Cat" professors and administrators.

I thought it was all a non-profit system...NOT!! Colleges and universities should be self-sustaining. Why do I need to pay with my taxes African Cultural Study Programs, when one week in Africa will give anyone the history of their ancesters, or classes on the hardships of being a queer.

If they're for the children, then freeze their salaries, fire the waste, and allow the kids to attend at a rate the majority can afford.

May GOD help us all if this health care bill passes. This is one of the scariest bills that our country has ever seen.

Call both numbers!!!! If you get through to the D.C. stay on the line and you can actually speak to someone....Let them know the mailbox is full as well as voice your opinion about the bill..We want to put the fear of the GOD into these progressives mother F!#$kers before they ruin this country!!!From what I understand Nancy doesn't have the votes and she is losing traction with every day that goes by and they say the 18th is now impossible...If they can't do it by the end of the month before their spring recess they will not be able to get it done at all!!! Go git em!!!!!! Now is the time!!!!
