Survey. In the last 2 years have you shot: registered, games, both?

The reason I ask is because it seems to me they is a growing separation between registered shooters and game shooters. I belong to a club that is a members run club that does not have registered shoots. We make most of our money from meat shoots held in the fall and winter. We have a lot of members who shoot registered that use our club for practice but will not shoot the games. We pay for the heat/air, lights, insurance from games.

I grew up at gun clubs. Years ago all the local top dog ATA shooters who attended state and national (Grand) tournaments wouldn’t miss one of our game, turkey, meat shoots. Now, it seems the local ATA shooters wouldn’t even consider shooting annies, buddies aka protections or anything that gets off the concrete.

I shoot both, what about you?

We shoot everything. I do notice some of those two or three time a year shooters are not real safe with their gun handling skills. Glenn Allison

To the disappointment of my husband, I only shoot practice, leagues, and registered. I have watched games, and I don't particularly care for them.

Registered (or non-reg std events) and practice. I'm not real big on the "games".

Ilike to pull the trigger but shoot in descending order, Games at a buddies private range, registered targets, practice at my home trap club, a couple of club shoots and a small amount of sorting clays.
