I wonder if Justice Breyer wanted a handgun of his own last week.

It seems that while he was vacationing at his vacation home (estimated worth $200,000 to $300,000) on the Island of Nevis, his home was invaded by a machete wielding armed robber. The Justice and his family was not injured,

The ironic part of the robbery is that my daughter is going to school at St. Kitt which, along with Nevis, comprises the nation of St. Kitt and Nevis. The two islands are separated by only a two mile wide channel. As such I took a look at the gun laws down there in case I ever went to visit. Suffice to say that there is no way in Hell for an ordinary citizen to get a hand gun (legally that is) on the island. They gave her a hell of a rough time because she had a personal defense pepper spray in her luggage. It took several weeks for the police to decide that she could be licensed to bring the pepper spray into the country. The head of Law Enforcement had to okay this.

If you want a long gun, from what I read it is very difficult to even get the clearances to bring one in (again legally that is) and the tariffs would be about the full retail value of the gun.

Yet, with all that "Legal Protection" against firearms ownership, the Justice still gets robbed and had no (legal) means of (armed) self-defense.

I keep pointing out LEGALLY since not that long back a bar owner who was friendly with many of the students at the school was assassinated along with his wife and young son being severely injured by a gun toting criminal in what was an obviously well-planned execution. The criminal was convicted and publicly hung. From what I hear, the hanging was widely supported with calls by the citizens for more enforcement of the same capital punishment for other armed killers.

I wonder will the Justice come back to that "armed and dangerous" country that he is a Supreme Court Justice of with a new concept of the need of armed self-defense for the citizens?

I will almost bet the farm that the Honorable Justice Breyer will not let that incident change his opinion. That poor soul that attacked him was just a bit misguided and a little education and a little compensation to get his life in order is all that is needed.

Why would anyone think Breyer would learn from this experience? He's the most liberal male on the scotus and the fourth most liberal justice in general. He ranks behind the three socialist skirts i.e. Ginsburg, Sotomayor and Kagan.

Clinton appointed Ginsburg and Breyer. Obummer appointed Sotomayor and Kagan. In other words we had two loser democrat presidents go four for four in appointing loser liberal justices.

Even the profoundly stupid should understand lib dem presidents can't be trusted to nominate a Supreme Court justice that respects the Constitution or the wisdom of the founding fathers who created it.
