The wad is a Remingtom TGT 12. Powder was Tite group. Not sure if it still is. I use Titewad with the TGT12 wads for a very soft shooting 1 1/8 ounce load of 8's for eveything.

Its no longer Titegroup from Hodgdon, but the powder Remington now uses is very close to the same as Titegroup.

You can re-create the Nitro-27 load with Titegroup. Have a look at the Hodgdon website.

Check for sure, but I think it is STS hull, 18.4 grains of Titegroup (check that) TGT-12 wad, Remington primer, and 1-1/8 ounces of shot.

Remington is now using a wholesale version Titegroup and TGT-12 wad.

If you check the Hodgdon data at their website, link above, they list 18.5 gr of Titegroup and a Fig 8 wad to get 1255 f/s with 11,500 psi.

Since the Nitro 27 is listed as 1235 f/s you will need a chrono to work up a TGT-12 wad load or just try using 18.0 gr of Titegroup.

Personally prefer the older Int'l load.
