We are having a league shoot and I have gained 1 yard in the handicap and now I must shoot off the back fence, the 21 yard line. I was doing okay on the 20 yd. line but going back this week I really struggled. Maybe they will move me forward so the targets will look bigger. I shot AA light 8's , do I need Superhandicap or Nitro 27's ?

Not enough practice from my new , longer yardage. Maybe Randy will see that I cannot be competitive from the 21 and will give me a reduction. Wind blowing 20 to 30 miles an hour did not seem to help in target presentation but it sure made for some "unusual " targets.

They are having issues finding a venue. It seems as if the Cardinal Center is too small for nurse short britches ego!

I thought I would see if I could get help. If they had noted that CA Trapper Becknell broke 98 in Grand American Handicap a few years ago as SJ, they would realize it isn't him that is struggling.

Charlie, That's quit aways back there. If you switch to Nitro's in 7 1/2s it will help you emensly! :) Always Trying To Help, Bill

    Hi
Your leads are not a whole lot different from 21 that they are from 16. You're letting the distance bother you too much. Lead them like 16's and you'll be fine. There isn't really a difference in lead til you get to 24. This is a weird yardage that you just have to experiment with different leads to find where you hit them hardest. Light 2 3/4 8's are perfect at 20-21. And PRACTICE. Learn from your practice. Strive for positive and better scores away from the ATA scoresheets, then apply it to ATA birds when they count. Good luck to you!

MIA, you do too much research, however , your secret is safe with me.. Being from KY I should not have to shoot long yardage. Do I have to wait until I am enfeebled to get to the 18? Am I getting "picked on" shooting form this longer yardage? I am sure Terry would like me to be up there so he won't have to squad with me.
