Great job of not vetting Gov. Palin by Senator McStupid. She should have NEVER been asked, and she should have NEVER accepted the nomination. She has neither the judgement or resume required to be a heartbeat away from the POTUS job. Neither does McCain after this blunder. (booo, hisss)

An hour on "the Google" would have scared him away, but he is not so good with the Internets. Gov. Palin still has MANY unanswered questions about herself in AK and hired a personal private atttorney just this afternoon to start her defense process. Here comes "troopergate".

In the meantime she can study up on what the VP actually does since she said she really didnt know (as of June 08). Not that she will ever be VPOTUS now.

She was willing to let this very private family matter, that she knew would come to light not get in the way of her career. Super hockey mom strikes again.
Family first my azz. Bring the special needs 4 month old infant on a grueling campaign tour. Let the kids hold on to it while mommy smiles for the camera.

If she was just the Gov. of AK, it would still have been traumatic for her daughter to become a very young mother with her abstinence only mom as Gov.
But it would have been a blip on the newscrawls for an hour, maybe.

To knowingly let it make it the national news is outright Sarah 'barracuda' like. Do barracuda eat their young? or just not care?

"Thanks Mom. I really needed this. Love, Bristol."

Please feel free to hate me now.

Hate is an emotion. Indifference to stupidity is not. Your Messiah has said "families are off limits".

Go now and sin no more.

This election is all about Hillary's voters - the blue-collar "joe sixpack" crowd - the type of family that, this day in age, almost always contains at least one unmarried mother (please pardon my demographic generalization).

So every time you use a variation of the word "hypocrisy," "irresponsible," "disgusting," or whatever else your left-wing bloggers can dream up, all those blue-collar voters will hear is snarky criticism of their lifestyle.

So if you snarky, arrogant blue-staters feel the need to attack - you just keep right on at it!

That will do very nicely. As a rough estimate, figure on 10,000 "middle America" voters jumping ship for every occurrence.

Please, please, accept my invitation. (We know you can't help yourselves...and John McCain, who knew of the pregnancy before appointing her, does, too).

How old are you, SJK? Or the more important question" Are you living in 2008 or 1958? You must be older, because this kind of news doesn't really bother younger voters.

    Curvy,

I'm guessing that, like the typical Obama voter, he still lives with his Mom & Dad.

    EE,

They're going to "try" to claim that they really don't care about unmarried pregnancy, it's just those evil Weepublicans who say they are against it, but turn around and do it, and thus are hypocrites.

Problem is - the average middle-American family with an unmarried mother isn't going to hear that distinction - they're just going to hear that they're being spat upon by Democrats - and those are the voters the Dems are after.

Ah, but the Republicans - the Republicans now get a chance to show their "compassionate" side (remember McCain is a "maverick"), and they get to show that family values is really about families sticking together, facing hardships together, etc.

And - true to form - the liberals will be right there, like the smart-alecks they always are, ready to pounce and sneer at all that stuff, and show to middle America that, once again, they just don't get it.

Smart ploy guys! Sjk has already done us proud.

Oh no...of course he'll say he's "undecided," but he just wants to point out that repubs are evil, that's all...but no, he just has "no idea" who he's going to vote for yet, open-minded gent that he is...

Once again, y'all miss the target. How old am I? Old enough to remember and young enought not to forget!

(recurvyarcher, I dont ask women how old they are, how much they weigh, or if that's their natural hair color. As a guy, I'll live longer that way I hope!)

    :)

Families are not targets for the candidates. Agreed.

They are fair game when the family is toted out in public and something isnt quite right at home. Obama has not and will not touch this.

What is a target is the judgement or lack thereof by McCain and Palin.

Gov. Palin made her family fair game by not squashing the rumors that were started with her pop up pregnancy in March of this year.
AK has been abuzz ever she announced her "suprise" pregnancy in March and gave birth in April. The story is a bit strange at the very least with a lot of unanswered questions.

Then she accepted the nomination knowing that she would have to deal with this on a national level. She and McCain chucked her kid under the bus.

It wasnt smart, it wasnt needed and it wasnt kind to the daughter.

Look, I am not a nutcase left loonie. I am a former Democrat, obviously..Clinton got me to toss in my card.

I want my guns, my red nose...I want lower taxes .I want to NOT have to press "1", or read everything in Spanish. I want all working Americans to be able to get health care in some way without breaking the bank for them. If we have $10 bil a month for Iraq, we can make sure that those who want to help themselves and are able to be working, get some help.

(Please dont get "socialist" with me or I'll explain how bottom up Socialism works when the people subsidize the energy and defense contracting and other large industry and the profits are all privatized.)

I am questioning the judgement of inviting her to be VP.

A quick Google, a token call from the McCains, and a polite "no" from Ms. Palin and there are many more qualified Repiplican women...Kay Baily Hutchinson, Olympia Snow and others.

I spent a rainy weekend doing "the Google", and found a lot of crap and rumor on Palin but some stuff that just could not be dismissed without the McCain campaign responding. More than the "babygate" stufff on the left wing blogs.

    "troopergate" is next.

Get the McCain/Palin bumper stickers now as they will be collectors items very soon.

Obama is not my first choice. Its my hope he isnt as bad as y'all seem to think.

Stocking up on ammo before the election.
Just got a nice deal on some 124 gr. 9MM Speer GDHP's.

recurvy, What was it that dosnt bother younger voters?

    Peace.

oh well. I guess the 17 year old just got sacrificed for the cause. No worries. Lots of girls her age get pregnant, unfortunatley, but how many have it intentionaly exposed on the national stage before their mom is gonna be officially nominated for VPOTUS?

Cool beans. Hope they all can live with it for Sarah Barracuda's chance at the spotlight

There were other qualified men and women for the position, with far less personal and professional baggage. it would have been a non issue if he chose wisely or if Ms. Palin belived in any form birth control.

BTW, "Vetting" is not a meeting of Corvette owners. Carry on.

Well...to be correct, I believe they're pist that he didn't pick a pro-choice VP candidate, thereby turning off the Republican base and moving the GOP to the left on the abortion issue.

For a certain type of democrat voter, everything boils down to abortion. They wanted a fuzzy pro-choicer, and didn't get it.

For those of you who don't know, sjk identified himself as Steve Karst, 1275 N Seitz St, Russell, KS 67665

If anyone knows Steve, ask him why he is such a stand up guy that goes after 17 year old girls.

Be careful, Joe...there is more than one login there. We don't know this is Steve. The Mouth also identified himself as "seth," and both logins are scattered alternately, after the point in time when David froze logins to IP addys.

Alternately, he could have a son who posts also, etc.

We don't want to tar someone unfairly here, just because some pr*ck shares initials with him.

Well if it isn't Steve then let him say so and tell us who he is. I think we should get to know anyone who would attack a 17 year old girl just to score political points. sjk is a cowardly scumbag.

For those who could not hear what this A hole said clearly, here is a cleaned up version, without the plane engines. Wishing people to be displaced and possibly killed for the benefit of the DNC is absolutely inexcusable.
