I will bet if you walked outside at that temp with barefeet, you would be in very tough shape in about two steps.

I am glad that is all staying up there. In Wisconsin right now we are 20 degrees above normal. Almost 55 today. We have had 23 days above normal in January. I am talking 10 degrees or more. I think we actually have had a higher average temp than in November. Here is a picture from beautiful sunny Wisconsin. The lower is from last year at this time. People are falling through the ice left and right, crazy. Normally there would be 24" at least by now. Keep the global warming coming, I will be dead by the time it kills us all. LOL

January is going to be the coldest its been since 1953 according to the records. There is more sea ice in the Bering Sea than has ever been recorded, they have all but cancelled fishing for crab this winter, the boats can't get to the processors even if they could go out, there froze in too.I really don't know how perma frost thaws at -45 to -60 below zero.

I would think this may help the polar bears get out to the seals in the near future out on the new pack ice. Thats good.

You guys need Al Gore up there quick to access the global warming situation. It seems to be out of hand.

It's probably so cold up there they can't get TS.com to break into categories.

No matter.... I like it. Makes me cold just lookin' at it.

Hey Ben, Keep promotting Alaska with your pictures, shoot related or not. Put the pictures of the Alaska State Shoot Trophies on here again and maybe some of those I'll be there, count me in, naysayers, will see what they are missing. Beautiful state, maybe a little cold, but a trip of a life time. Cold now but not in July.

It's not that pictures of AK are not welcome but there is a section made just for this sort of stuff. Its called the "Off-Topic" section. Just follow the directions when you post your thread. Then TS.COM users who view in "Category" mode do not have to sift through the non-shooting related stuff.

No matter how much you try or complain about off-topic items it will continue, I am not saying by me but by others. Hard to "Police". Sorry!!!
