Stock scratched or cracked?

    Noticed this tonight and wanted any opinion that could be offered. Is it a crack that needs to be repaired or just a scratch and keep shooting? Thanks, Rich

    To blurred to tell. drip some water and see if it goes in or follows the scratch if its a scratch.

    Have to agree with Ed. Looks like a scratch or a tape line. Very unlikely to get a crack in that area across the grain.

    I agree. Stocks rarely crack across the grain. Todd
