I am having trouble with the screws not wanting to stay tight ( the screws that hold the butt plate to the stock) I have seen the metal inserts advertised on shooting sites and now I can't seem to find them. Any suggestions? I am heading to Lowes tomorrow to see what they have.

    CC,

I find them at Home Depot, they are about 3/4" long. THe 8-32 threaded ones work real well, and an 8-32 buttonhead capscrew takes a 3/32 hex wrench. Some adjustable combs use a 3/32 hex wrench also, saves finding the right one.
