Hi, I have been sculpting, bondoing, and generally shaping a stock to fit my needs. I would like to send it and the forearm out to be duplicated in a nice piece of wood I have been saving. The type service I am looking for is one that is done on a pantograph (duplicating) machine useing a router. I would like to find a service that would be skilled enough do the inletting so that only minimal fitting would be required. Has anyone experienced good results with this type service? If so, would you please offer a recommended Company, how much fitting was required, and the approx cost with/without the wood. I would also like to hear of the disasters so that I may stay away from those companies.

    Thanks, Marc

Marc- It requires much more than a router and a pantograph.

Pat, I know. If I can find a duplicating service to get the inletting close (For a Mono Gun so it's not too complicated) I can handle the rest from there.

    Thanks, Marc

If possible to estimate, what are we talking about cost wise. I undersand the variables. Just give some examples.

Well there is Phil Simms that frequents this site, as well as Donnie Gemes of Showme Gunstocks, in Missouri. I can personally vouch for the quality of both of these men's work.

Price is like racing? How fast do you want to go?

ShowMe. He has some pretty hi-tech duplicators, and is a craftsman, to boot.
