I'm looking to get my Dad a mercury recoil reducer for his Citori XT. Since he has the gun and don't have access to it, does anyone out there know the width and depth of the hole??

I was going to order from these guys:

I really appreciate any help you can give.

    Thanks

If your rowning does not have an adj comb, it takes a 7/8 device. Get the 8 ouncer, and fill in space with wads with the petals cut off, and leave about 3/8" of the device hanging out the back of the stock so the recoil pad will compress it. You will need to wrap it with tape so it does not rattle. Do not install it so tightly that it cannot be removed.

I like to put the device at the rear of the stock. It does the recoild reducing chores, but does not make the gun sluggish. If you want the gun to feel more portly, install it close to but not touching the stock bolt.

The adj comb model is 3/4" but has a cup in the bolt hole that may be moved forward under recoil if a device is installed behind it.
