maclellan1911 .... What is the difference between a type III and a type IV Citori stock? ...... Wenig has a new standard grade unfinished New American type stock for around $100, that you can cut to any length or make as ugly as you prefer. They are good stocks, easy to finish and a hell of a lot better than OEM's.

All I know is that typr IV is all target models produced after 1998 I believe. type III field models. thats what I was told from browning? When I called browning for info on gun before I bought it, thats what I was told. I guess I will have to go to wenig. I was hoping to avoid fitting to reciever. The semi inletted stocks are great I have used a few on my Gold auto. One for me one for wife.
