Steel trap loads..

    whats your in your steel trap load? And who's a good source of information. I contacted Alliant and was told their working on putting together some loads.

    Steel trap loads can be gotten from Hodgdon and BPI, although BPI only has one or two that are slow enough to shoot all afternoon, in my opinion. What speed are you interested in? What speed are your lead shells?

    The 19 to 21.5 grain Universal Clays loads you see on the Hodgdon site are pretty much it in terms of published loads. Longshot can be used too, but I can't seem to find the recipes. Will keep an eye out for them. Longshot give you a little more range in terms of powder drop, but at the bottom end, they leave more residue.

    These are for 1 oz loads.
