Hello. I'm just getting back into reloading. I'm having a hard time finding a recipe for 28 gauge steel loads. I'm not interested in hevi-shot, since the cost of high end steel for a 28 is still lower than reloading with hevi-shot. Ideally, I'd like to use 5 shot as a good all round load. I've got a couple hundred AA hulls that I'll use.

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

You are going to have one heck of a time finding 28 gauge wads to load steel shot with. You may want to reconsider and load 20 gauge steel loads instead (if you have a 20 gauge gun). Using the wrong type of wads can damage your barrel if the wads allow any steel shot to come into contact with the barrel walls. ....Rick

Ballistic Products can help you. They have a 28 ga wad for steel shot and should be able to supply recipes. See link above. The wad is the TPS28.

They also have 20 and 16 ga wads for steel shot. See above link.
