Just curious - what do other States do as far as State Membership dues and Daily fees.

In Arkansas our one time per day fee is $2.00. Our Annual Membership in the State organization is $5/yr. Life Memberships are $35 although we offer a Life Membership to our junior shooters for only $20

What do other States charge ?

As I understand it MS, GA and perhaps others only have a daily fee and no membership dues. What other States only have a daily fee and no membership dues ?

Florida has no membership dues for the state association, just daily fees.

Idaho has no membership fee. The target fees are $0.01 per target, but likely will be going up in the near future.

Arizona membership dues are $2.00 per year, life memberships are $25.00, daily fees are $2.00 ... The money pays for a steak dinner for all in attendance at the State shoot besides trophys, and $1000.00 for the State Delegate to attend the Grand ... I'm not sure there is a better deal around for the money ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

Bill - regarding the $2 annual fee - do they track that and require that you join before you can shoot - or is it a little looser than that and just sort of like a voluntary donation ?

    Dan,

They keep records (and they do know) but its an honor system for the most part and seems to work well ... The shooters are supposed to join before they shoot but I'm not 100% sure that happens all of the time, so they are some what relaxed about it until the State Shoot ... I joined as a Life Member so that eliminates the problem for me ...

How have you been doing, I know you got all busted up a while back ..? Hope alls well ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

Bill, I thought maybe he was referencing an upcoming colonoscopy. I think that's why I've been so absent minded lately. The Doctor was too thorough, no brains left. Oh well, shoot well and have fun, Bob

As WPT reported, the ASTA requires that all AZ residents be members of the ASTA prior to shooting registered targets (ala the ATA). The daily fees are $3. And, we try to make sure the ASTA memberships are upheld, but are somewhat at the mercy of the clubs as they must enforce. However, at the State Shoot, this is checked very closely as you cannot vote or receive an ATA/ASTA trophy is you are not a member of the ASTA. Many just purchase a Life Membership...just easier.
