A Stan Baker barrel "Big Bore" is available for my 1100 and is priced ok.
Anyone have any good/bad/indifferent experience with the SB BigBores?
    thanks, ML Johnson

Years ago I bought a Baker Big Bore for my Beretta 303. Had problems with the shell cycling. Had to pull the bolt back by hand, so I didn't keep it. Might not be the same on an 1100 though.

See if you can shoot it before you buy it. Then you can make an informed decision. HMB

I have had several, for a couple 303's and one for an 1100. I had no problems but I dont shoot light loads. They pattern well thats for sure. There were different Big Bores, the real Mccoy will be stamped BB and some even had his name on them. Those should be .800

Not for use in cold weather. Baker barrels put out a nice pattern short on the shot string.

Bought one brand new when they first came out (1100). It was a piece of crap and I sold it FAST.

Had Stan install one on a Super X-1 in 1978. Shot it in a 100 bird registered competition today. Great patterns. Ron

I had one on a SX! and learned that you had ot keep the pressures up to insure proper ignition of the power.
It does not work well with wimpy loads.
