    Guys,

Looking for a sporting clays course near Omaha.

I know of Oak Creek near Brainerd and Pheasant Bonanza near Tekamah.

There was one listed near Elkhorn, but the phone number has been disconnected.

And I believe Koch throws only trap and skeet.

Any other sport courses in or near Omaha?

Larry Swanson runs a course near Syracuse Nebraska. His number is 8882956484. It is called Grandpa's Sporting Clays. It is a nice setup.

A little far away but the sporting clays in Grand Island at the Heartland Shooting Park is a fun time. The Heartland park is amazing with trap, skeet, 5 stand, sporting clays, rifle, pistol and cowboy action venues on the site.

There is a sporting clays course in Harlan Iowa that a lot of people recommend. I do not have a number for them.

You are right, Harry Koch is trap/skeet only and is $6.50 per round.

    Thanks Bruce.

I'm getting together with my three brothers in a few weeks and thought we'd shoot some sport.

I checked www.claytargetsonline.com and there seems to be one near Glenwood, IA. That might be closest.

Glenwood has skeet, trap, rifle, pistol, and sporting clays shooting. They are only open on Wednesday nights and Sundays.

There is a really fun sporting clays course near Woodbine. Its a couple of miles east of the jct. of highway 44 and U.S. 30. Phone number is 712-647-2877. they used to take you almost anytime if you called ahead. Its about a 40 minute drive from Omaha depending where you are. Its a neat place.

The last time I attended a shoot at Glenwood IA, it was a members only club with a one time open shoot to attract new members.

Bruce, I found the website for the club in Glenwood. It is called Southwest Iowa Sportsman's Club. http://www.glenwoodsports.com/sisportsman/

Anybody know if the place near Valley (just east of Fremont) is still open? Sporting Clays Sensations? That's actually closest to where I'll be staying (near I-680 and Maple Street.)

Its on claytargetsonline.com, but I called the number and no answer.

Might try the one near Woodbine. Tripod, is it called Lazy H Hunting Club?

There's one near Tekamah, and that's not too bad a drive.

Murray is a great guy at Lazy H and I'm pretty sure would be available at anytime. They have some nice Torsdale traps and some great stations!
Pheasant Bonanza in Tekamah is a very well laid out all electric range, either one will be a great day of shooting!

I like Woodbine, Tekamah, and Brainard. Have seen but not shot, Glenwood or Grand Island. Base entire gun club is still pending. Hear some civilians want it closed. Active duty people want it open. Base range is fun to shoot will all those planes buzzing around you. IMHO Omaha

Dave, I called Paul. Have something to show you. It is taller than I am. No, it is NOT an 1100.
