76 hulls out of the first flat were split. At $10 a box, you'd think Winchester would at least put out a decent product.

They were split before they were fired.

Contact Olin. They will send you a gift card to replace the defect.

Wow! I have five flats that I have not started to use.

    When did you purchase them?

They were bought at the Dundee Cabelas in early 2011. I have another flat too.

Usually I shoot them out of an AYA SxS 453, but I shot my Guerini this time, and 1/2 the shells wouldn't even chamber. Thats when I noticed it. The chamber must be tighter on the CG.

Its not the chambers fault, The brass is split before they are fired..

all in a effort to make things cheaper but still charge more..

Hope they replace those for you

Sorry to hear about the problems with the AA-HS brass. I also have a CG .410 and the chambers are too tight...any imperfection and the shells will not chamber.

I have a whole bunch of AA-HS 28 ga from last year that did the same thing. Half were split in the box and the other half split on the first firing. Talk about POed ! And, on top of it Winchester never sent the $20 rebate I had coming for the flat.

This happens from time to time with both the sub-gauges in Winchester. Remington too, so I've heard. Contact them and give them the lot # of the shells you have. They will do you right. They may want the shells back so I would shoot anymore until you contact them. Good Luck and break em all JEff

I've had this problem with both 410's and 28's. Most of them I see are once fired and notice them when I start to reload. Also have problems with burnt holes in the side of the hulls. Jackie B.
