Opened up a new bag of shot to fill reloader slipped out of hands and hit the floor, rolled all over the place, what methods have you come up for cleanup. I used small whisk broom and dust pan for camping tents but just wanted to know what everyone else did that has had to do this. Thanks

Wifey just hates that twangy noise when they go through the impeller on her regular vac.

I put my hearing protectors on so I don't hear the cussin.

    Hoosier,

I think he puts the panty hose inside the shop-vac canister, firmly attached over the inlet connection so that everything that comes through the hose and into the canister of the shop vac gets captured inside the panty hose.

    Clever idea.

Hire two Mexicans at $0.50 hour and problem solved.

P.S. call immigration when they start, should be there about the time they finish.

You only need the pantyhose for # 9 shot.

I bought a 1 gallon shop vac (Shop Vac brand). I clean up all shot accidents with it and that's the ONLY thing it is used for. When it rattles loudly enough, open it, dump the shot into a large kitchen strainer, blow air through it from the vac's exhaust to clean out stray debris and dump the shot back into the loader.

Save the plastic bottle that Qcean Spray juice comes in to keep your shot in. It will hold 25# and you can fill most hoppers from it without a funnel.

For a great powder/shot funnel buy a large plastic one at an automotive store. They usually have a screen in the end. Just cut the end off leaving an opening of roughly 1". You can set the funnel on the Ocean Spray bottle and dump the entire bag of shot into the bottle. The bottles are easier to handle than the bag of shot.

I like horse power so I always buy the biggest hp vac from Sears. It works extremely well.

Unfortunately, in order for me to use the panty hose to hold the shot, I'd probably need to be looking for panty hose for an elephant...this would work 4X!
