1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

Gun is now sold pending receipt of funds. I am listing a Winchester Model 21 Trap Grade in 12 gauge. This is a true trap gun with 30 inch, vent ribbed barrels that have bores of .731 in right barrel and .730 in the left. Choke in the right barrel was originally marked Full but was stamped out and remarked Imp. Mod. Constriction is .015. Left barrel is marked full and has a constriction of .035. Chambers were originally 2 3/4 but were opened to 3 inch and so marked on the barrels. Barrels have a white hooded front bead and silver middle bead. Serial number is 28182 so it was produced in 1954. Stock dimensions are 1 1/2 X 1 5/8 X 2 X 14 1/4 over a nice Winchester red rubber pad. Weight of the gun is 8 pounds 1 ounce. Bluing and wood finish are excellent on this beauty and as you can see from the pictures. Cannot tell if the barrels and receiver has been blued, but if they have it was done properly and very, very, well as they appear totally original. This has a drop dead gorgeous piece of American Black Walnut with the great Winchester red stain which is just as it left the factory. Again, if it has been refinished I can't tell it. Gun is tight on face and was just checked out by my gunsmith and gave it a clean bill of health. Price on this classic was $6250, now $5950 shipped in the continental US with a three day inspection period. Contact me at esetter5@me.com with any questions you might have. Here is the sheet on this 21 from Cody:

It is sacrilegious to do that to a model 21, much less stamp it on the barrel.

If it was done by a hack, they wouldn't have stamped it on the barrel. Had the barrels looked at and everything is nicely done and functioning perfectly. I asked the gunsmith if lengthening the chambers to 3" would cause any problems and he laughed, said you could shoot 3 1/2" shells in a 21 with no problems.

It appears that the gun has been restocked (checkered side panels, monte carlo, etc) What is the refence to "trap Butt: Winchester recoil pad; hard rubber"? Seems contrdictory.

Really, I am looking at 2 right now with the same set up, you could order them anyway you wanted. Hell look at the guns Grant Tom had built over the years.

"Trap" refers to the finish. "Recoil pad" refers to the butt. The punctuation is just in the wrong place. I don't know when Trap Grades quit having the checkered side panels. By the way, original 3" chambered Model 21s have the same barrels as 2 3/4" chambered guns. There is no problem with wall thickness at the forcing cone.
