1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

You can buy a piece of trap shooting history. Up for sale is my Silver Seitz, serial # 007, produced in 1992 and one of the first batch of 10 made by AIM after Tom Seitz’s untimely death in 1988. I am the 5th owner of this gun, and I bought it in 2006 from Chris Kloepel here on TS.com. Chris had just had the gun completely gone over by AIM and the wood was refinished and recheckered.

Prior owners include ‘Ham’ Hamilton of Pennsylvania, Bob Meyers of Florida, Gene Zirkelbach of Illinois and Chris Kloepel of Florida. I have a more detailed provenance with approximate dates of ownership and will include it for the new owner.

Since buying it, I’ve had it looked at each year at the Grand by Rich Phillips. All that has been done is to replace a few springs, as I don’t shoot a lot of targets. As most of you know, the Silver Seitz (SS) is 100% American built and is a rock solid gun. Most owners DO NOT even think about owning a spare, as is the case with some other higher end guns. The receiver is stainless steel and the trigger mechanism is a dream, in terms of its ‘quickness’. The trigger on this gun is pull, although it can be easily changed to release by AIM.

The wood on the gun is original (I believe by Phil Simms) with a Country Gentleman adjustable butt plate and a Kick-Eeze pad. It also has an adjustable comb and a right hand palm swell. As I hope the photos show, the wood is very nicely figured. Present LOP is 15”. I will also include a Kick-Eeze pad that will put the LOP at 14 ½”. The trigger guard, trigger and forearm release button are all gold anodized, which dresses it up. The receiver side plate is clear Lexan, held on by 2 gold anodized screws.

This gun is in very good to excellent condition. Mechanically it is as good as new. Cosmetically, it’s probably 95-97%. The wood has a few small marks, but nothing that would require refinishing. The barrel has 2 small marks near the right front that I touched up with a bluing pen. There is also a small mark at the chamber end where it meets the receiver, but is barely visible. The barrel is a fixed rib 34”barrel and has fixed full choke of .033” (Bore = .743” and muzzle is .710”). When I bought the gun, it had already been ported, I believe by Top Line. The barrel shoots to a POI of about 70/30. The bore is bright and clean. The receiver serial number and barrel serial number match. I DO NOT have a case for the gun. I have this priced at a very reasonable (OLD $7,895) NEW PRICE $6850 plus insured shipping to your FFL. I will likely ship it in pieces because I do not have a case to ship it in.

I am willing to give a serious buyer a reasonable inspection, under the following conditions:

    1. Buyer pays in full up front with a cashier’s check and I will hold the check.

    2. Buyer pays shipping both ways, plus insurance.

    3. If returned, any damage to the gun will be deducted from the cashier’s check.

    4. If fired and returned, the buyer will thoroughly clean the gun

SOLD January 2013 - SPARE BARREL IS SOLD
In addition to the gun itself, I have a spare barrel. It’s a 34” fixed rib barrel that shoots to a POI of 80/20. The choke is fixed full and measures .023” (Bore - .743”, muzzle - .720”). This barrel was ‘tuned’ by Tom Wilkinson and is so marked. Buy it with the gun for an extra $1,000. Buy it separately for $1500 + shipping. I’ve posted a few pix below. If someone wants more specific photos, let me know.

ATTENTION Illinois residents – I am willing to do a face to face at St Charles Sporstmen’s Club in Elburn.

Can't find a serial # on the extra barrel. Only a stamp "Wilkinson".

Beautiful gun -- hard to believe it is 20 years old. Cool serial number and very nice wood -- I suspect it was their Heritage grade, which today costs an extra $1,000.

    Ducky:

Thx for the bump. Started the chemo pills on 9/3. Not feeling too bad, actually. I go 2 weeks on and 1 week off and then start again. This chemo seems more tolerable than the previous stuff. Hopefully, it works as well or better.

    Bob Hawkes:
Hadn't thought of that, but I'll definitely change my sign-on after the sale. So, that might sweeten the deal, eh?

AIM has gone over the gun at the Grand every year I have owned it. Each year, Rich gives it back to me and says "You don't shoot much, do you?" He's right, I don't. He did put a new spring in it in 2011. Other than that, maintenance has been almost nil.
