1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

S&W M629 5" Classic, 44 MAG. Fired exactly 150 rds. My 66 Y.O. wrists do not like this gun with heavy loads.

Bought new, ANIC. Pistol has the Internal Lock. $700 with free shipping. FFL-to-FFL only. No trades, am thinning herd.

Reverse side of pistol. It has an excellent double action, and breaking glass single action.

This is the better model with interchangeable front sight. Retail is $989.

Coach, my 65 year-old wrists like my 629s just fine, including a 5" -4 Classic DX. But with the right ammo.

Try some 240-grain cast semi-wadcutters over 5.0 grains of Clays - it makes a nice, low-recoil paper-punching load that, for me, shoots to the same 25-yard POI as the full-house 240-grain Hornady XTP JHP hunting load.

If you're experiencing wrist pain with 240-grain loads, don't try the 180-grain Hornady load - it's outright violent!

Ed, what are the grips that are on the top 629 in your picture. They look great.

They are from Gun Grip Supply - URL above. Another company that makes them is Atamont (or something like that). S&W also has them in their online store.

Gun is still for sale. My favorite lead bullet load is 7 gr Titegroup behind a 200 gr Cowboy bullet.

The 240 HP in front of three tablespoons of 296 got my attention!

I had no trouble hitting our 200 yd steel plate with this gun shooting double action. Very little hold over. The gun is sighted in for a six o'clock hold on a NRA bullseye target at 25 yd.
