1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

Gun is now sold pending receipt of funds. I just picked up this Parker Reproduction in 20GA, pistol grip, single trigger, splinter, with 26 inch barrels which are choked IC and Mod. It is new in the case and I believe I'm the first person to put it together since it left the factory. It is as close to perfect condition as a gun can be. All of the above things don't make this gun unusual, but the serial number certainly does make it a neat gun in that it is one of the Prototype guns and is marked as such with the "P" designation. This one is P-46 so it is one of the first ones built. Stock dimensions are 1 1/2 X 2 1/4 X 14 1/2 over the skeleton butt. This is the longer LOP for a single trigger gun so that also makes it a little more unusual. Also notice the grain flow through the wrist on this gun, it is perfectly laid out for strength which I feel is really important in these guns. Weight of the gun is 6 pounds 10 ounces. Again, you are buying a gun that hasn't been fired since it was test fired at the factory. Gun comes with the hard case and you will notice they didn't put the Parker label on the inside of the case, Parker Repro snap caps, early cloth dust cover, key for case. Price of the gun is $3900 shipped to your FFL. Take a look at the pictures and contact me with any questions you might have at esetter5@me.com.

The gun is gorgeous. Whoever buys it should have the receiver lacquered if he intends to use it so that the case colors will not wear off. Otherwise they will be completely gone in a very short time, especially if the gun is used often. Done properly, there is no evidence of the receiver being any different than it was when it left the factory. I believe that my British gunmaker friend used a product called "Gunlock Varnish" on my 2 Parkers. It may be available only in England but I really don't know that for certain.

Don't know where you live, but it was 48 degrees here in Ohio when I got up this morning and it sure made me think about grouse hunting. My setters are ready to go.

Just a comment on the pictures. The wood is actually a little darker than the pics show. Light washed out the color slightly. The very last picture is closer to the actual color.

Thanks, I think it is about as perfect a 20GA Repro as you will find and very neat to have this special serial number.

Are the screw heads engraved? I spoke to the late Tom Skuese(sp) after he first set the reproduction deal up. He told me that he sent his original Parker to Japan to have copied. His original Parker had a receiver screw replaced and that screw was not engraved. The early prototypes came to him with all but that one screw engraved. He was very impressed that they were that precise in the copy. I don't know if those prototypes made it into the marketplace but always thought it would make a good converseation piece if you found one.

The screw heads on the sides of the receiver are not engraved. Every other screw that is exposed is engraved.

Actually, what occurred was that the Parker Tom S. sent to be copied by the Japanese had one FLAT replacement screw on one side of the receiver. They copied it exactly that way! Obviously it was corrected on the actual production guns. Gerry--you've been selling some very nice Parker Repros. Good luck with this one. BD
