1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

Gun is now sold pending receipt of funds. Thanks for all the nice comments. I am listing for sale a lovely Beretta SO5 with EELL engraving signed by Beretta master engraver G. Poli. As you know these SO guns are built in the Beretta Custom shop and this one was built in 1969 when Beretta was doing wonderful hand work. This particular Beretta has 30 inch barrels with 2 3/4 inch chambers. Bores are marked 18.5 on the bottom barrel, and 18.4 on the top barrel. They measure exactly as they are marked which is .728 on the bottom, and .725 on the top. Constrictions are .019 on the bottom barrel and .031 on the top barrel. Barrels are stamped Full and Light Full and are of course Boehler Antinit steel which is only used in the very top of the line guns. Barrel weight is marked KG 1.46 and weighs exactly that. Stock dimensions are 1 1/2 X 2 X 14 9/16 over a new sporting clays pad with a 1/4 inch spacer. Spacer can be easily removed if a shorter LOP would fit you better. Gun also comes with an adjustable butt plate which was on the gun and can be screwed right back on. As you can see in the attached pictures the gun has a soft 4 way adjustable comb which was installed by Hilmer and is very nicely executed. Screws on the gun are all in excellent condition and well timed. Weight of the gun is 7 pounds 14 ounces and it balances like a dream. The SO series of guns are very lively and feel much lighter than their weight would indicate. Wood is in good condition with a very few handling marks. Barrel bluing is good with some very light discoloration on the left side of the barrels just in front of the forend, which is very hard to see it would not show up in a photo (you probably would never notice it if I didn't point it out to you). No rust or scratches. Gun is very tight with excellent lock up and lever to the right of center. All ribs are tight on the barrels.

Now for all the really special stuff. This gun has 100% floral engraving by G. Poli. As with all SO guns this is a full sidelock and this particular gun has hand detachable sidelocks which is a very nice and expensive option. Gun has single, selective, gold trigger. Hand filed, tapered 10 X 7 rib, slender, tapered field style forend with wonderful crisp checkering, pierced top lever and gold engraved crown. If you haven't shot a true sidelock you owe it to yourself to shoot one of these guns and feel the great trigger pulls that only a sidelock can produce. Gun comes in a Beretta hard case.

Price of this beautiful gun is $8850 plus actual shipping cost to your FFL. As always there is a three day non-firing inspection period on all my guns. I have shot this gun and it functions flawlessly. This is a gun you will proud to own and shoot. Contact me at esetter5@me.com with any questions you might have on this gun.

Absolutely stunning gun at a great price and a really good guy to deal with. Why is it a great value? Go ahead and price a new SO5 EELL. Go ahead and look at the copy of the SO5 "plain jane" version by Galazan with out this world class engraving. This is a true excellent deal.

Thanks Jim for the kind words, I believe replacement value on this gun today would be in the $35 - $40K. Galazan has the almost identical gun listed on GunsInternational with 26" barrels for $14995. Their gun doesn't have the adjustable comb, but it also doesn't have 30" barrels. They also have one with 28" barrels and it is going for $19999.

SO line is still hand made. Top of the line SO 10 is engraved by master of complicated engraving Mario TERZI.

Yes the SO guns are still hand built in their custom shop, but I prefer the older SO guns. Although I certainly wouldn't turn down a SO10 built today.

No, sorry I won't be at any shoot. Send me an email and I'll give you a phone number if you would like to call me to discuss the gun.

Ferlach, Sorry, never received your email. I do have an individual that said he wants the gun and is sending a deposit check. Will update listing when check is received.
